What I do
I am a horse trainer, riding instructor, farm consultant, and general horse information junky. My clients know me as the place to get answers because if I don't know, I'll find out.
Consulting and question answering takes place in several ways. I amavailable for phone consultations, e-mail questions, clinics and video lessons for clients everywhere. Local clients also enjoy regular lessons and on-going horse training.
My two clubs are open to anyone who wishes to join, they are "Read, Ride, Reflect" which is a book club, and "The Heart of the Horseman" where we discuss the interactions between a horse and its handler. Visit their pages more more information.

My background
While
French classical dressage has been the cornerstone of my education, I
am simply enthralled by horses in general and I have studied many
different techniques and ideas about horses and their training. I
undertake the study of riding as I would any other study, so I am
always reading old books and attending clinics to keep deepening my
understanding.
The thoughts, concentration and focus of the horse are just as
important as the body of the horse. By fusing the ideas of Harry
Whitney and Mark Rashid with the ideas of the French school of dressage
(like Phillipe Karl) my students and I are having tremendous success
with our horses. The horses are calm, relaxed, easy to handle and
confident. This makes it easy to get them supple, soft, round and
engaged. You can read more about my dressage philosophy at the KISS
Dressage page.
Additionally, I study sidesaddle riding and trick training to add
some fun and variety. Jumping and liberty work round out the
program.
